Introducing our new SIW design package. This is the world's first commercial tool to support SIW filter design and simulation directly in Ansys HFSS. This design package covers three different resonator shapes (rectangular, circular, hexagonal). Similar to the workflows used in cavity and waveguide filters released last year, users will be able to perform single resonator dimension synthesis, coupling scheme and IO port modeling and simulation, and complete their 3D layout designs and modeling using SynMatrix interfaces.
Yield analysis: The new Monte Carlo function adds yield analysis to the SynMatrix-HFSS 3D simulation workflow. By customizing the physical variables and analysis, users can clearly verify their design model sensitivities and make yield predictions for high volume production.
Improvements to existing features
The 3D geometry modeling workflow for coaxial filters (with proper cross coupled structures) has improved. The latest version allows users to get better initial RF performance with a reasonable cross-coupled structure.
The full iris cross-coupling structure for coaxial cavity was added
Improvements for the diplexer fine-tuning function were implemented
Bug fixes
A fix was introduced to correct a 3D modelling error that would sometimes impact coaxial cavity and waveguide structures
